Thumbs up on the Civic - that car was a civic (walked away from 2 wrecks in it, the one that totalled it and another two months before that where I t-boned someone) and I got another to replace it. That was in 2001, and I'm still driving the 2nd one. It's starting to look a little sketchy and the passenger side automatic door lock electrical stuff is glitchy, but it has reliably gotten me where I need to go for going on 11 years now. And eventually when I am able to afford another car, civics are again on the top of my list to look at. We've always had good luck with Hondas in my family, though, so I'm a bit biased...
