The Bio:
I was born near Atlanta, GA, where I had all kinds of crazy adventures that surely will be recounted one day in an epic poem. After graduating high school at Woodward Academy, I went to Georgia Tech for more adventures, culminating in a degree in computer science. It was then that I thumbed my nose at the dot-com bust by starting Comics Infinity, an online comics and collectibles store. In 2004 I decided I’d milked Atlanta of all the awesomeness I could, and I moved to Orlando, FL. Fast forward a few years, and I found myself engaged to Celeste (we met in the geekiest of ways when I was running a Joss Whedon panel at Megacon, and she was helping her friend at PBS with press). In March of 2008 I started Fandomania, a blog covering all sorts of geeky entertainment. In July of that year, Celeste and I recorded the first episode of the weekly Fandomania Podcast, and in November of 2009 we got married. In 2011 we bought a house and moved to Clermont, FL.
The Hobbies:
I’m into all sorts of geekish things, from obsessively watching and analyzing TV shows (Buffy, Alias, Lost, and loads more) to collecting comic books (I was a lifelong Marvel guy but recently have been more into DC and indies) and toys to playing way too much XBox (see gamertag to the right). I have played the piano since I was four (with a couple of years off here and there) and hope to one day be semi-competent on the instrument.
